Your Home Base for the High Country
Set among mature cottonwoods along the Uncompahgre River, our campground is the comfortable, relaxed place to rest between adventures in western Colorado.
A Quiet Retreat Where the River Runs Through It
Cottonwood Grove Campground sits on the banks of the Uncompahgre River in the heart of western Colorado. The grove of mature cottonwoods that gives us our name has provided shade and shelter for campers for generations — and we've kept that spirit alive.
Whether you're pulling in with a full-size RV, parking a compact trailer, or arriving in a tent, you'll find a spacious, well-maintained site that puts you close to the water and the trails. We're an easy drive from Montrose, a short detour from US-50, and a world away from the rush of the highway.
